To be eligible for the LEVEL Youth Policy Program, applicants must:
- Live in British Columbia
- Be between the ages of 19 and 29
- Identify as being from Indigenous and/or racialized immigrant or refugee communities
- Interested in leadership development and public policy
- Fluent in spoken English and at least basic proficiency in reading and writing English
Participants will be required to commit to the following:
- Attending and participating in all six modules of the program (both virtually and safely in person)
- Completion of all readings, assignments, and activities during and between modules
- Work collaboratively and respectfully with Elders, Mentors, Partners, and Peers
- Completion of a policy project
- A healthy curiosity and a shared commitment to creating brave space with respect and solidarity for the different journeys and identities of your peers in the program
Key Dates
- October 1, 2023: Applications open.
- November 15, 2023: Applications close.
- December 2023/January 2024: Final decisions communicated via email.
