Qwuy’um’aat (Eyvette) Elliott, CPHR, FNHP, MCP
Qwuy’um’aat is a Qwuw’ustun (Cowichan Tribes) woman and is a full-time Senior Strategic Advisor for BC Housing and part-time Instructor for Vancouver Island University’s Master of Community Planning and Indigenous Land Management program and Owner/Facilitator for Ever Plan Consulting.
She is a community and organizational strategist keen on contributing, creating, and facilitating healthy, inclusive, and vibrant communities for all. Her most recent work focuses on reconciliation and equity within housing, community planning and First Nations governance. She approaches her work with nuts’a maat shqwaluwun (one heart, one mind and one spirit) recognizing that all things are connected and one.
Qwuy’um’aat is keen on bringing people together to facilitate change, evoke transformative action and working with thoughtful intention. As an emerging practitioner, she is educator, facilitator, and advisor, actively working to bridge people and policies. Her approach invites the Indigenous paradigm to implement decolonial and indigenization to workplaces and communities.
