WeiChun Kua
WeiChun, 伟俊 (he/him) is a second-generation stateless Chinese born and raised in Brunei. He has been living on the unceded Coast Salish Territory for 6 years. He is a grassroot organizer and activist that strongly believes in climate justice and the collective fight for liberation against all forms of oppression. He has been heavily involved in the student movement and climate youth organizing as a 2020/21 board member of the Simon Fraser Student Society and as an active member of SFU350. His work includes organizing against TMX, SFU350’s Climate Emergency Declaration campaign and Community Reinvestment campaign, and fighting for migrant students’ rights for status in so-called canada. He centres his organizing and activism around an anti-capitalist and anti-oppressive framework, and is passionate about building a future that centres the wellbeing of peoples and Mother Earth.
